beasties: exploring un-recognition
BRZA DOLL
beasties emerged through an ongoing inquiry into containment:
how form holds, mutates, resists & relates.
developed through collage, acrylic, pastel,& serial sketchbook repetition, these works operate between specimen, entity & systemic abstraction. They test the conditions under which attachment forms without familiar anatomy,
or, whether shape, pressure, edge, gesture & texture can register as a felt presence.
beasties: exploring un-recognition is a body of work that considers containment and expansion, driven by material tensions & an underlying logic that motivates a taxonomic impulse- without collapsing into it.
